The Model 11 Coaxial Thermal Converters are AC-DC transfer
devices that provide broad voltage and frequency capability at the
highest NIST reportable accuracy.
There are eighteen separate and overlapping voltage ranges in the
Model 11 set. The eighteen ranges are obtained by
interconnecting one of three thermoelement modules with one of
five resistor modules or with the thermoelement adapter. For
example, connecting the 90080C resistor module with the 90081A
thermoelement module produces the 30 V range of the set. Each
combination can be used from 50% to 120% of its rated voltage.
The eight modules of the set, therefore, completely span the 0.5 to
1200 volt range.
At rated input voltage the input current is either 2.5, 5 or IOmA
depending upon the thermoelement modules in use. The output
emf is nominally 7 mV for

all voltage ranges at rated input voltage.
All AC-DC difference corrections are referenced to the center plane
of a G.R. Type 874T connector. Each resistor module and the
thermoelement adapter has a G.R. Type 874 input connector and
each thermoelement module has an MS3102A-10SL-4P output
emf connector.
AC-DC difference data is reported by Holt, traceable to the National
Institute of Standards and Technology. The Model 11 set may also be tested and
reported directly by NIST-Boulder or NIST-Gaithersburg.
