Holt Model 84506
...for use with precision AC shunts
|
|
To obtain the highest accuracy in Alternating Current Measurements the effect of stray capacitive currents shunting the thermo-element must be taken into account. Although these effects are small, if accuracies approaching the uncertainties now available from NIST are to be obtained, errors of 10 to 20 parts in 106 at 50 Hz to 100KHz must be considered.
To achieve these accuracies, an AC Shunt resistor should be tested and used with its own dedicated thermo-element. Since 1965, Holt has supplied the 84506 thermal voltage converter specifically for this purpose.
With its very low DC reversal error, highoutput voltage, and the stable input impedance provided by its coaxial input connector, these premium-quality TVCs are the best companion to your Holt HCS-1 Primary AC Shunt Set.
